Green Laning in Wales 17th - 19th June

Setting off on the Friday afternoon in convoy we stopped at the Wild Pheasant in Llangollan for a brew/break and finally arrived at the campsite at Meantwrog around 4.30pm. Once we were all set up we went over to the Oakley Arms for tea. Later we had a camp fire and Barbecue.

Saturday was a gorgeous day and we split into 2 groups. With ours we had 2 Disco's a Range Rover and a Suzuki. We drove along some lovely lanes with the most spectacular Scenery. Later that night with more members turning up we had another Barbecue and campfire.

Sunday morning although it was warm it was very grey and we had the odd shower. Putting a good breakfast under our belts we decided to drive the track over the Slate mines and the Woods at Meantwrog. We met two of our group coming the other way as we crossed the tops going to the Slate mines.

The track through the woods is very beautiful and although we used to find it hrad to find our way through, we manage quite well now.

Our group arrived back at camp around noon and the barbecue was sparked up to cook up the remains of our bounty. The other group after leaving us went on to do many of the lanes that we had done yesterday on the saturday and didn't head off home untill late afternoon.

We'd all had a wonderful weekend and shortly after we all headed of home our own individual ways.
