Trials at Holmfirth

Steve Goddard and Lee, Trevor and Pat, Steve Franks and Myself went to Holmfirth on Saturday to set the sections up for Easter Sunday; we set eight sections of varying difficulty. Sixteen drivers turned up on the day, with quite a few more spectating.

Even though the sections were difficult all were driven well especially by the drivers that were new to the club. We did have a few airborne antics from Mr Kent and Mr Mellor.

Albert caused some concern when attempting to hold his Land Rover up with one hand.

I was under strict instruction not to damage Jane's LJ and did not let her down, even though I did manage to reverse into Gareths Hybrid. I'm sure he'll never find out!

The weather remained fine for the whole day and we finished trialing at three. All that was left to do was hand out the silverware. I was pleased to find out that I had come first, with Trevor and Gareth in joint second place.
